How to Make Croutons (Recipe)

croutons in soup
Homemade croutons taste so much better then store bought and are very easy to make. They keep pretty well in the fridge too, so make a batch and keep then in the fridge for a few days to add to salads and soups.

Croutons (makes 1 1/2 cups croutons)

1 1/2 cups french bread, chopped into 3/4″ cubes
1/4 cup olive oil
salt and pepper

To make your croutons first preheat the oven to 375F. Toss together the bread, olive oil, salt and pepper and place on a rack on a cookie sheet. Put in the oven. Watch your croutons carefully or they will burn, they should only bake for 5-10 minutes or until nice and lightly browned. Remove from the oven and let cool.
