Update: This contest is now closed, I will announce a winner in by Monday 18th January.
In honor of the new site design I have teamed with the people from Cookware.com to bring you a fabulous contest. A $60 gift certificate to their cookware store, or if you’d rather you can also put it towards their dining room furniture store. If I were you I’d buy something from my Christmas Gift List, or put it towards a Le creuset Dutch oven. Did I mention that J was nice enough to get me one for Christmas? I can’t wait to use it, I am giddy.

To enter you must be a resident of the US or Canada. This contest will be open until 6pm PST Friday January 15th.
To enter you can:
- Leave a comment and give me some constructive feedback on the new site, I already have a large laundry list of improvements I want to do but I want more!
- Tweet about the contest and link back to this post then leave me a comment saying you did.
- Sign Up to Receive my Recipes by Email. Anyone who signs up between Jan 5th and Jan 15th will be automatically entered with one entry.
P.S. You can do both A,B & C. Good Luck.

I can’t think of a thing I would change about your site. I looked around and immediately found a recipe I want to try. I like how the site looks and the recipe prints beautifully as well.
I also subscribed…wasn’t sure if I was supposed to post this or not.
No complaints here really. Love the subject, of course and your site looks very professional. Some sites are so messy and just throw together but yours is nice and neat.
But if you need me to say something to make it better I would say visually-only thing I would like if it was more colorful-more jazzy!
I subscribed.
I like the recipes. I would like to see the twitter, facebook, etc. buttons on sidebar as they were hard to find in the middle.
I am not sure if I would change everything but maybe take off one of the Recent Posts thingies- one on sidebar, one on bottom- I doubt both are necessary.
Hi, I really like your website and layouts. It’s simple and easy to navigate through. Keep up the good work.

Everything is good about cooking. I like articles on how to use unusual ingredients and combinations.
My only constructive (opinionated) idea; maybe a different color for the background. This one makes me sleepy for some reason, and I have to squint a little? (OR… maybe I need glasses, which is a real possibility.)
Keep up the GREAT work and site, it really is EASY to navigate, organized, and VERY CLEAN looking (which I love.)
WONDERFUL giveaway… Would be put twards a new Le creuset FOR SURE!! Love the ones I have already, but need MORE:)
Thank you for all you do! Have a great one.

I have nothing to complain about with your site. It is so easy to navigate!
Thanks for the chance.
I think the background color does need to be changed. Maybe something a bit more vibrant? I really am loving the fact you don’t have a ton of side bar things going on – makes the page load faster BUT I do know that those can be money makers/connections to other sites.
I signed up for your e-mail!

I’m an email subscriber!
One thing I really like is how you can look at the popular posts and the latest posts!
I like how clear and easy to navigate the site is! Some similar sites are just way too messy and loaded with extra stuff. I do want to try a few things already (like the Pumpkin Pie Cupcakes). If I had to pick something to change, it would be the very top part of the page, with the name of the blog – I’d make that more fun and bright and just a bit more prominent because it is easy to overlook and not even read the name of the blog when you first get to the page.
I always love to go to sites that have lots of vivid color.
Your site is very well organized and easy to get around..I like the colors but maybe a little more with a darker tone..

I would have someone proof read for you (another set of eyes is usually helpful), and have a couple of templates for your various types of posts. One for recipe posts, one for posts that don’t include a recipe, etc.
I would love to see a list of blog posts by month on the side. Your new layout looks very nice!
