About

AboutDaily Unadventures in Cooking is a food blog written for the home cook featuring simple recipes. Originally started as a way to document and learn to cook, it chronicles my journey as I learn a few new things, create recipes, and have a disaster or two. All recipes and opinions are served up with a pinch of spice and a touch of sarcasm.

On a more personal note, I work full time in the software industry but recently took a leave of absence and completed a 4 month professional culinary program! I am based in Vancouver but like to run away to the country to cook with incredibly local ingredients and attempt to garden at my cabin.

I have done some recipe development in the past and absolutely love it! Please contact me directly for recipe development inquiries.

I am always eager to receive questions and comments from readers so feel free to email me. You can also :

Hey, thanks for the comment. I gotta say – I adore your site. So many good recipes that I couldn’t comment on just one! I admire you for being so creative in coming up with recipes- I’m not nearly creative enough. Anyways, just thought I’d say hi and that I love your recipes. Good luck with cooking school!

I have to say, I came by your blog through tastespotting, but I subscribed after reading your little blurb about yourself, and because of your title and tagline. I love it, and I look forward to your feed. :)

Your blog reminds me of a movie I just saw! Julie & Julia
Now I didn’t look for any connection to that movie, just for a recipe.
Still, what are the chances to come across your blog after seeing the movie 2 days ago? I regularly search for recipes…
All the best!
