My favorite thing about these no-bake cookies is that they are delicious straight from the freezer. I love having treats on hand for an emergency chocolate craving. That said, they are also quick to make and only dirty one pot.
I make a similar no-bake chocolate cookie with coconut instead of peanut butter which I think I actually prefer. Of course I am biased, the coconut version holds a special spot in my heart as it comes from my childhood.
Cocoa Peanut Butter Drop Cookies
(12-20)Combine butter, milk, cocoa and sugar in a large saucepan, bring to a boil and boil for 3 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and peanut butter and then fold in oats. Drop in large spoonfuls onto a parchment lined cookie sheet. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

no bake?! i am so there. do you think mixing up the pb / choc ratio would affect much? i’m not the biggest chocolate person and get overwhelmed easily with the taste
I think you can probably leave out the cocoa. You may need to add a bit more oats. In fact next time I might try peanut butter and coconut…
A quick, one-pot dessert that also has peanut butter? I’m all over this!
Wow, these look great. I’m going to bookmark them.
*kisses* HH
Absolutely delicious and so quick and easy to make! My mom and sister say they taste a lot like Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
wow, these look great katie, monique would be proud!
I have been making these since high school… and I love them. I am never one for keeping ingredients and how to’s, so thanks… lol… I’m making these friday to take with me on our Mothers day weekend trip! xo
I would only use 2 1/2 cups of Oats because the ratio between oats and chocolate wasn’t right. There was too much oats for the amount of chocolate sauce.
I am surprised to hear that! Although you can always start with 2 1/2 cups and add more if needed, what kind of oats did you use?
Quaker Oatmeal.
I meant more, were they quick oats or whole oats etc? Maybe that makes a difference?
The ratio isn’t right at all with these cookies and they don’t taste great.
Sorry to hear that Lara, will retest recipe.
