Roasting okra is a beautiful and simple way to cook it so that you can really taste the flavor and texture. If you cook okra wrong, it has a slimy texture, but not to worry, this roasted okra recipe doesn’t. Okra are actually the seed pods of a plant similar to cotton. Similar to peas or beans, when you are growing okra you want to pick the pods daily to continue getting more.
This is a simple method on how to roast okra and it makes a delicious side dish. In our house, we eat it with our fingers, dipped in spicy sriracha. Give it a try, as it is very easy, and currently in season.

I will have to try this method! We usually just blanch it for a couple of minutes in boiling water and eat them dipped in Kikkoman soy sauce! And have it with rice and other side dishes
That also sounds easy and good. I assume you blanch them whole?
